aaronpkI've been thinking about it and I think I'm going to find a way to filter them. I like some of them, like the "8 weeks at coffee shops" and such, but a lot of them are noise and I ignore them
aaronpkSince they're coming in as webmentions, that means I'm gonna need a solution that lets me filter incoming webmentions, which sounds a lot like how I'd be dealing with spam
sebselyea, I was looking into my webmentions log, and it seems like you mention me a lot. Swarm checking with tag -> pesos to post with tag -> webmention on your post -> I get a webmention for each update / received webmention.
[frank]I have questions on how to use the new Mastodon support in Brid.gy with WordPress. I do some trial and error that seem to work but still have some doubts how to some specific things. Comments/webmentions are welcome on https://diggingthedigital.com/how-do-i-posse-to-mastodon-now/

[frank][snarfed] Not quite. How do I get it working without having to include the target URL in my WP post? I could use the Syndication Links plugin from [dshanske] but I don't know what to fill in the settings of the additional Custom Providers.

[jgmac1106]!tell tonz I can't find a source of my stat, going to stop using it until I do, but thanks as I went through and added more tags and bookmarked more sources as I search. will ask on misinfocon listservs
[frank]The thing is, because of all the different plugins and services by different people, a good explanation how they work together is lacking. Most explanations are very general, because the plug-in or service (like bridgy) can connect on various levels and on different systems. For me it's a puzzle to find out how it all works together. So I can explain it to others as well.
[snarfed]heh, sure. ok! understood. it's definitely on me to document and explain bridgy itself, but i don't personally connect it to specific individual CMSes (like WP), or document how. thanks for trying!
[tantek]if you could, it would be great to add its connection/relevance to IndieWeb people and or principles to the dfn and perhaps expand later in the page with Examples
