sukilhi! This may be a bit off topic, but could somebody locate me in some generation based on these facts? (Link to personal site follows, I promise there's no tracking by me / ads / etc.) https://www.sukiletxe.eu/blog/do-i-have-no-generation/ Thanks!
[jeremycherfas]Seems to me you are between 2 and 3, but in any case, I wouldn’t worry about it. Just do what you are comfortable doing and progress from there.
Loqi[David Shanske] Just hacked up a script using Tasker for Android that extracts the location from the Southwest inflight wifi and posts it to my location tracking server… which is queried by my website. Fun
[tantek]Good reason to post something. Get memories of something topical (like a discussion event) out of your head so you can focus on other things. Especially if you (or anyone!) does not have any notes about the event!

Loqiok, I added "Brainstorm why post: Get memories of something topical (like a discussion event) out of your head so you can focus on other things. Especially if you (or anyone!) does not have any notes about the event!" to the "See Also" section of /posthttps://indieweb.org/wiki/index.php?diff=66080&oldid=66037

sukilhi, dumb question. In your wiki you say that this community is rather diverse regarding views. So what qualifies as being part of the community? Specifically my opinions about owning content: I want to own my content (picking just the relevant parts, not including boring stuff like "TIL mattrices are learned in the same educational period by sciences' and Humanities' students" (real tweet),...
sukil...and others' content with explicit consent (comments). Thus I don't really know what to think about webmention, bridgy, etc. This view may change (I investigated webmentions and asked about them in this same channel)
gRegorLoveWelcome, sukil. If you have or want a personal website to own your content -- whatever content is important to you -- and you want to be part of the community, that's basically it. :)
[jgmac1106]the one confusing step for me was after I made the domain changed the DNS record...I just went to my new domain which redirected to your domain..took me a second to realize I had to add domain second time and then get email prompt...other than it was super easy
[jgmac1106]...sorry for using the word easy....manageable for someone who knows there way around DNS records and txt records....but really cool Malcom!!
mblaneyawesome thanks jgmac1106! It's nearly completely automated but will see how long it takes. give me a few minutes I'm just fixing a few bugs in the process.
jackygoing to open an issue in a few hours but wondering if anyone else had issues going through the sign in flow (namely redirecting to the callback path)
mblaneylooks like I need to drop the automated 'www' subdomain idea... that requires another DNS record which I don't think is worth asking for or checking before creating the site.
