chrisaldrichjacky, if you haven't seen it before I know there are some who use granary to generate RSS/Atom feeds from their h-feeds instead of building them separately.
[tantek]if you show someone's icon/name with a blue checkmark on your site, that could be used to mean you "vouch" for them, and thus others could use them as a vouch link when sending you a webmention
[jgmac1106]I could add a blue check mark to people on my following page.. I use colleague and muse mainly... Not sure what the blue check signifies that my following page doesn't already
[jgmac1106]... Maybe if someone sends me a webmention and they are on my following page the checkmark gets displayed?... But i can't even display webmentions yet... So long time off
[jgmac1106]Even though noo one does anything with XFN and nothing will display the data... I donworry "uh-oh what if someone realizes they are just a colleague and not a muse"
cambridgeport90[<[tantek] "yes rel=contact could be useful "> Is there a master list of all of those we can look all of them up? I see them sort of scattered around all over the place.
[jgmac1106]I know it sounds wrong, but I guess an assignment is an event with a start and end (due date) but I am going to create a self guided gradebook where people RSVP (thats the part that is semantically wrong..but it works) to assignments as they hand them in...cc [kenbauer]
[tantek][jgmac1106] yup sounds like a bit of semantic mis-use for the sake of syntactic convenience. always a bad path to go down as you end up diluting (at best) the syntax, and at worse abusing it and adding noise
[tantek]jacky, if you mean the XFN stuff, I now agree. I think maybe some coarse information like contact vs met etc. is ok "publicly" however anything more I'm now more skeptical of than not.
