en3r0I feel like I have heard of IndieWeb, but maybe misunderstood it a long time ago. I can't believe I have been missing out on so many like minded people. Glad to be here.

[jgmac1106]IndieWeb to me is carving out a place online where you own the data and control the space, if that is from your own domain even better. You can even go further and build better connections by choosing tools that add more IndieWeb building blocks like webmentions
[jgmac1106]...but I am working with audiences who have never added an iframe to a site let a lone know the distinction between blog and social blog is microformats and webmentions
[jgmac1106]so I am gonna stick with what I say, "Find a passion, get a blog" that's IndieWeb

[fluffy]at some point I want to write Yet Another article on the IndieWeb, with like, my thoughts about why someone would want to get into it and the first steps they should take to do so
mattgoreckiI've been running a small ISP for the past few years and I've been thinking about these same idea in the context of the physical network and internet connectivity itself.
superkuh_I guess I should be complaining to the webmentions people and not here but I was getting all hyped after converting my site to microformat h-entry stuff.
[snarfed]lots of people here do have full fledged indieweb sites, ie serving plain pre-built static HTML, and still support webmentions etc. there are a variety of techniques
superkuh_Trying to find that page I mentioned but unfortunately I left on vacation today and am on my laptop and not the PC at home I had all the tabs open in.
