jamietannaHey Finesse, it's a mix of what folks are most interested in, but the key goal is try and bring better ownership over our online presences. It generally leads from using your personal domain/website and i.e. trying to use it as the key space you interact with people. https://www.jvt.me/posts/2019/10/20/indieweb-talk/ is a slightly longer read if you're interested, it's a transcript from a talk I've done on it :)
LoqiThe IndieWeb is a community of individual personal websites, connected by simple standards, based on the principles of owning your domain, using it as your primary identity, to publish on your own site (optionally syndicate elsewhere), and own your data https://indieweb.org/IndieWeb
[jgmac1106]...all that full moon stuff is because it is really a Pagan festival of fertility to the Goddess Venus...just don't tell anybody.....church secret
@chenoehartUsing a web application instead of a standalone app (or a desktop program) always feels like Iām putting trust in a relatively impermanent & precarious tool/service in a way that makes me slightly uncomfortable to use it. I wonder how often others perceive that feeling as well. (twitter.com/_/status/1248494331356299264)
dmitrythe right way (in my opionion) is to use FOSS & GNU as much as possible, and when it's came to web - use indieweb sites instead of Google/facebook/etc
