[LewisCowles]right, but because it is missing `me` in the `rel` attribute, your attestation that this is your facebook page, is not supported by your facebook page data.
[LewisCowles]Your github being added to your website would allow you to use third-party web-services from Indieweb community members, such as Indielogin, which using your website and github profile, would allow you to sign in / up to the indieweb wiki
[LewisCowles]There is no Indieweb effort to back either of those parties I'm aware of. There are syndication efforts to and I think maybe facebook. The wiki and others will have more information. Thanks for joining and sharing
Nuve4, sscarfe, heaters, sknebel, markopasha, mauz555, ashaibani, swentel, [Steve_Ellwood] and [KevinMarks] joined the channel; subnaught left the channel
LoqiRelMeAuth is an authentication method that uses personal URL for identity that rel-me link to established OAuth provider(s) to perform the actual authentication https://indieweb.org/RelMeAuth
[LewisCowles]Ah, the should in this case it is two fold. Large providers should follow w3c recommendations. They may not, but considering all they do that is for people across many devices it could even help them to mine more data
jeremycherfasAh, right. I was (am) on IRC. The bridge automagically inserts them for people on Slack. So I type Lewi and then press tab and it sends [LewisCowles]
jeremycherfasRules are still pretty tight, yes. Although bizarrely, one of the new categories of essential shops allowed to open is children's clothing.
jeremycherfasYes, that is an issue. I gave up having a home printer ages ago because there is a copy shop just across the road. Fortunately I won't need hard copies for at least three months.
[LewisCowles]is it that much smaller overall? Everyone was complaining about it until I subscribed to zoom pro. Now all the problems they had with Jitsi seem to have resolved
beko*shrugs* the only problems I had with Jitsi were Firefox related. There's a long ticket going with a lot of gore about WebRTC. Zoom on the other hand? _Lots_ of smoke.
jmacI've made a couple posts about life in NYC recently to fogknife.com. Not at diary-rate, but once every couple weeks. Have gotten some good feedback on it
[grantcodes]I have a journal, but pretty much stopped during lockdown π€·ββοΈ mine is more of a log of what I do rather than my thoughts. And I am currently doing nothing of interest π
jmacgRegorLove: for no rational reason I've very lately started preferring to mark my "working-through" thoughts in a paper notebook again, for the first time since I moved to NYC
[chrisaldrich][schmarty] How much time are you spending on that Caturday project?! Or is your cat that expressive naturally? It's definitely an #AutoFollow.
[schmarty][chrisaldrich] our cat is pretty entertaining, but i have organized a little bit to make sure i have a pool of photos to pick from. i use the favorites feature on my iphone to pick good ones and remove them when i post them.
[chrisaldrich]I think it also helps to have the short motion pieces too. Getting longer entertaining pet videos is an incredibly patience testing task.
