#@tomcoatesGot my old blog up and running again probably because it’s nice to have some element of control over some part of life and websites are generally pretty easy. (twitter.com/_/status/1257912873306648576)

#nekr0zHello all! I'm trying to set up WebSub publishing, but I seem to be missing something important and nothing works. I'm pretty sure I've read the related wiki pages through and through, but it didn't help. Is there a forum or a channel or some other place to ask for help in this matter?

#[LewisCowles]I read something saying I'm not leaving it to stand for long enough. I'll try that. It's cooked for over an hour. The third loaf looks the most bready, but I'll be trying steam to make it taller next
#[LewisCowles]turns out oil instead of butter made the best loaf so-far

#annadaneoh man i haven't had homemade bread in so long
#nekr0zToo bad. I still can not understand whether the issue is my feed or the hubs. Testing with 3 of them now. Still no luck with superfeedr (pings shown, but not feeds), phubb seems to accept but nothing in websub.rocks, and switchboard is still untestable...
#LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "Linktree" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "Linktree is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#nekr0zI know I should be writing my own hub instead, but I just want to make sure my feed and pings work first ;)
#[tantek]Linktree is linktre.ee a site for publishing a flat list of links at a short vanity path (like Twitter and other [[social media]] silos) for what appears to be for the sole purpose of seeming to provide multiple links from social media profiles like Instagram which only allow one clickable link in your profile.
#[tantek][jgmac1106] I think I lost the indieweb context on that - happy to follow-up on framing / metaphors in #indieweb-chat
#[jgmac1106]ohh it was your post about war metaphors from yesterday maybe? was across time zones
#[jgmac1106]The Lin paper, explores war as a mataphor specifically but itis built off of Lakoff, as almost all modern explorations of metaphor are...need to look for other represeentative experts as well

#[tantek]my understanding is Lakoff is more about framing rather than metaphor. I realize the two overlap but they're not the same
