lahacker after watching the "Tag, You're It" session and sitting in on the (unrecorded) AutoAuth discussion I feel like they (@-mentions, photo-tagging, private posts, etc) were both blocking on closely related non-technical UX

[dave] I'm emergency migrating my taco blog from Tumblr to self-hosted Wordpress because Tumblr has decided that my home network needed to be blocked with a rate-limiting warning despite nothing I can see on any of my devices attempting to access it.

[dave] And the Tumblr import plugin from Wordpress kinda made a mess, so I figured since I have to go clean up all my posts anyway, why not add location data.

[dave] The main thing with that is just that the default map provider doesn't currently seem to work, so I suppose I'll need to find one that does and set up an API key and stuff. That and after manually geocoding the restaurants I need to resist the urge to press the Lookup button

[dave] On the off chance you know of a plugin or script that can scrape my posts for tumblr images and download and reupload/replace them automatically, you'd be my hero.

[dave] I think I got things working how I like, the only unfortunate bit being that the Wordpress app allows me to look up a location by name but doesn't save the name, so I have to edit that manually.
