[chrisaldrich][jacky] thanks for those digital gardens notes. I think I've been following some/most of it for the past couple of months. The volume is definitely getting louder. @Mappletons is definitely leading some of the charge and has some interesting UI thoughts.
jamesvandyneGWG: I saw the logs where you said that webmentions is only advertised on pages that support it. Is there a specific setting that can prevent some blog posts from having webmention support? I've got posts that seem to have the same settings (format: standard, kind: article). One gets webmentions fine, the other doesn't. The only obvious
[jgmac1106]you add links and reactions, and board can be shared between Feedly readers and you can subscribe through RSS (or through Feedly which many times doen't use RSS as an RSS reader)

LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "gardening" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "gardening is ____", a sentence describing the term)

cambridgeport90There's lots of data that could show up, honestly. The thing right now is that seemingly there are no methods of getting it into particular systems. Too few APIs have plugins for Wordpress, at least.
jgmac1106ohh yes I have a long history of trying to /Sawyer a micropub as migration tool, especially bc I have no idea what woulld entail beyond further discussion moving to dev
[tantek]after lots of reflection on the problematic aspects of person-tagged photos being mined for facial recognition systems (ClearView etc.) I'm leaning towards considering a "should avoid" recommendation in particular for any public photo posts
[tantek]or to put it another way, I think I may park/postpone any more work myself on person-tagging of photos until I literally have "protected" or "limited audience" photo posts working
[tantek]one alternative would be private (to me) person-tags on public photos. and an enhancement from that would be protected person-tags only visible to me and the person tagged. and maybe next up from there would be only visible to me and anyone tagged in the photo (can see other person-tags on the photo)
[tantek]I don't know that we've discussed how to come to any sort of consensus for warning people NOT to implement something due to possible harms but I'd like to put a warning label at the top of /person-tag accordingly
aaronpkor the way to phrase that as a positive is that the recommendation is to make the person-tags protected (rather than saying not to post person-tags)
LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "blogchain" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "blogchain is ____", a sentence describing the term)
[chrisaldrich]I do like how Jacky is giving credit to Indigenous as the posting client. We should sneak something like that into WordPress to help popularize Micropub clients.
Loqigiving credit is a collection of cultural practices related to acknowledging and attributing text, hyperlinks, quotes, utterances to others, typically by name, as a way of recognizing their contribution(s) https://indieweb.org/giving-credit
