[Raphael_Luckom]Also "that guy who never stopped using tumblr" is another example of tumblr being past tense like I asked about yesterday. Because it's notable to "still" be using it (everyone else presumably has moved on?)
[Raphael_Luckom]If one of my work friends sent that to me on whatsapp, my reaction would be "lol true." If I was a new person who didn't know what any of those technologies were, my reaction would be like, "wow, I'm going to get _judged_"
[tantek]also can we talk about the very IndieWeb-esque practice in that comic of signing your artwork with your domain name so that when the image file is shared out of context, there's still a chance that the viewer can find your original?
[tantek]I feel these are good IndieWeb practices we should document, which of course first requires asking for examples (like direct links to examples, not "hey go search over here I heard there might be some lol" 🙂 )
LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "watermark" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "watermark is ____", a sentence describing the term)
petermolnarwatermark is usually a piece of information - such as text, domain, signature, name, etc - that is overlayed on images, commonly with transparency for two purposes: stealing protection and tracebility.
[chrisaldrich]Rakhim's about page also has a list of his Patrons which I don't think I've seen on a personal site before. Like a blogroll (Rakhim doesn't link to their websites), but for supporters.
Loqisupport is related to all things regarding issues reported to a site or silo, like when you report abuse, and receive a response in a support inbox https://indieweb.org/support
jeremycherfasI used to, when I used Patreon far more, but I have been trying to get away. Maybe I should poll supporters to see what kind of recognition they would like.
[KevinMarks], silo, mavidser, dylanharris, Paul[m], schmudde, jamietanna, toupain1 and [chrisaldrich] joined the channel
[chrisaldrich]Stumbled across Stencil as a graphics creation tool https://getstencil.com/ (targeted towards creating images for social media?) and sort of wish there were a version of this that worked as a micropub client.
[chrisaldrich]Most of this tool is preformatted images and text layout stuff that makes one feel talented from a design perspective. It's got lots of preset sizes for websites and social media platforms.
[chrisaldrich][jgmac1106], yes, much like https://www.canva.com/ which may be better known in that space. I'm curious if others have useful simple tools like this. (Bonus points if they're IndieWeb friendly.)
