[tantek] e.g. if I'm viewing a post from someone, an option in the "..." menu on the post should be "Fewer posts like this" which would offer to "mute" posts of this "type" from this "person"

[tantek] making people manage a set of feeds/accounts that they are following for a single person is too much of a hassle

[tantek] I'm still a big believer in person-level following, and then curating (subsetting) the types of content you want from them from there

[jacky] but for a social reader, this should be enough

[jacky] like seeing a bunch of feeds on one's homepage, following them all but making it look like one feed and doing what you mentioned [tantek]!

[tantek] jacky, the problem I have with that is lack of new "type" discovery. like what if to start with I only have notes & articles@ and people follow those, then later I start posting photos@ ?

[tantek] in an "all minus the things I don't want" model, you would see the new photos by default, which I think is preferred

[tantek] "bunch of feeds on one's homepage" still feels like punting the hassle of managing feeds to the user/reader which I think is bad UX
