[tantek] one of my side hobby want projects is to make a local community run/edited restaurant wiki-like site, like an intersection of Nextdoor & Yelp, with local moderators, and keep the info global read-only obviously so folks visiting can use it

[tantek] Foursquare could have solved that problem if they wanted to, they already have "superusers" to help edit things

[tantek] if they added things like menus etc.

[tantek] In the short term, I often take a photos of menus of restaurants I visit when it seems like they've updated their menu

[KevinMarks] I signed up as a Google Local Guide specifically so I could fix search results for local restaurants (who if they have a web link usually have a Facebook one) by adding photos and fixing opening times
