[catgirlinspace]currently self host a firefish instance at http://fedi.catgirlin.space. plan is to eventually move to bridgy fed tho maybe? idk will figure that out once i redo my website...
LoqiFirefish (formerly Calckey) is a fork of Misskey, a microblogging ActivityPub server implementation with an emphasis on features that people enjoy using https://indieweb.org/firefish
[tantek]ultimately if things work as I expect (as gRegor has documented in the /BridgyFed page), my subsequent TPAC blog posts should not need follow-up note posts to hashtag them
fLaMEdI'm working on getting my bookmarks feed working in 11ty. Bit of a headache due to a combination of things, hopefully the end result is an actual feed that can be subscribed to or able to post to mastodon

sisomaBeen thinking about joining the fediverse using a single user instance. Which seems to be what you're doing with Firefish [catgirlsinspace], is it something you would recommend to others aswell? 🙂
[catgirlinspace]@isoma yeah i'd recommend it i think, but you'll probably wannya have some familiarity with doing linux server stuff. if you'd rather not deal with that there's stuff like masto.host too. as far as moderation stuff though i can't really comment on that too much i think? just haven't ran into like, any bad instances lol.
sisomaawesome! i have hosted different services on linux before, so think i should be able to figure it out. would be really cool to have my handle be @sigmundur@morkore.fo (my firstname@lastname.fo)

[tantek]capjamesg, I think I documented a little bit of that re: bookmark a page to home screen maybe in /contacts? we can take the documentation question to #indieweb-meta
[tantek]aciccarello, can you take a screenshot of your reply in context with the tags shown below your reply content? This is the first I have heard of this kind of support / display on a *reply* post in particular in contrast to an article or note/
Loqi[preview] [aciccarello] It seems like the Mastodon 4.2 update might improve this support. Now tags that aren't in the content (or at the end of the content) appear below the post.
