[preview] [Hrefna (DHC)] To reiterate:It is, without a doubt, true that the #fediverse is unsafe for a lot of marginalized groups in a variety of ways.It is unsafe even for groups that are overrepresented here compared to society at large, such as for queers. It is also true ...

[snarfed] Definitely will aid in that quest! BTW thanks for silently unsticking some of my test posts over the last few days. Once I'm done plumbing, I can move on to other more fun stuff with my site revamp.

...I did recently unfollow someone for a reason related to that news link, and I'm considering trying to implement not just a custom filter for my stream (unofficially supported, I think) and inbox (not so much, I don't think), but a hook into the same part of my incoming activity processing that early-drops deletes of unknown actors, to try to discard boosts of notes with certain tags.

Does anyone have any good examples of blogs with interactive content? Blogs aren't on paper, they can be more interactive. Could be used to help the reader understand the content
#
rubenwardy
only example I know of is ncase.me - there's lots of interactive explainers there
#
[tantek]
Checkout some of the examples on /design

πŸ“πŸ–Œ Design is a term that broadly encompasses graphics & other aspects of isual design such as typography, user interface (UI), user experience (UX), information architecture (IA), URL design, and everything else that affects how users experience a web site & its pages and interact with them https://indieweb.org/design

There are those wonderful physics/mechanics explainers, most recently about bicycles. Can’t search now. Maybe later.

rubenwardy: My fav explainer for how a mechanical watch works: https://ciechanow.ski/mechanical-watch/ (this might be the same website [jeremycherfas] is referring to, because the latest post is about bicycles)

What is BeReal?
#
Loqi
It looks like we don't have a page for "BeReal" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "BeReal is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
[tantek]
Huh. Does anyone here use BeReal? Or has anyone considered a BeReal-like Micropub client? (Perhaps latter is a #indieweb-dev q)
