#starrwulfeseeing something like this gives me hope that perhaps there's a way to get a micropub parser to hook into Apple notes like this.

#capjamesgMastodon reminds me I don't like social networks.
#capjamesgI like chatting with people, but I don't like likes, followings, notifications, etc.
#capjamesgI now check Mastodon dozens of times a day without reason.

#[Al_Abut][capjamesg] I get that. Is there a way to grab a feed of replies and skip all the rest?
#starrwulfeJust use micro.blog for mastodon stuff. You'll never see boosts, or likes because there are none.
#starrwulfeAnd because its m.b there's probably a way to get a timeline and or reply feed if we bug Manton about it
#[qubyte]I’ve settled into a different pattern with mastodon. It was so quiet in the early days that I’d check only once a day. It’s a little more frequent now, but I don’t feel that pressure to participate like I had with Twitter back when I was active there. I’m pretty happy just to catch up.
#starrwulfeThat's what I find myself doing too-- I have an actual mastodon v4.2.1 account that has all the bells and whistles and is very much set like Twitter; I'm an on/off journalist so I sometimes to stay glued for work.
#starrwulfeBut my primary account is also a subset of my domain and I like to be able to just get in, and spend 10 minutes seeing what everyone's up to. Then get out of there.
#[tantek]capjamesg, same. I greatly prefer the Bridgy Fed dashboard (which summarizes replies etc.) rather than "checking" any Mastodon client
#starrwulfeTHere's also an RSS feed that's pretty handy coming from there too
#[Al_Abut][tantek] I’m interested in that dashboard approach. Does that also work with Bridgy Classic, so I don’t have to spin up a new dedicated Mastodon account for my blog?
#[tantek][Al_Abut] exactly — it makes it so your blog acts as your Mastodon account. No need for a "new dedicated Mastodon account"
