# byjp I was asking as I’ve made _most_ of a demo for an “IndieSearch” browser extension, which tracks usage of pageapp on sites you visit, and then lets you search across all of them. It’s entirely client-side, and only downloads what it needs to perform the search query you’re making from the sites you’re searching, so it could be pretty useful for the small web 😊

# byjp Annoyingly I don’t seem to be able to grab the details of configured `PageFind` instances from the extension (which is probably a good thing, security-wise), so I have to rely on sites having a `<link rel="search" type="application/pagefind" href=“/path/to/pagefind/root” title=“optional title of search index“>` in their `<head>`.
