#[tantek]yes, also scope, because presumably "just" is just another word along with "simply" that trivializes the actual work or acts as a form of increasing risk of feeling imposter syndrome

#[schmarty]we've even got a ready emoji :pinched_fingers::skin-tone-2: (sorta)
#[KevinMarks]It's a kind of weaponised self deprecation, which is very English.
#capjamesg[d]Because use of just is not necessarily on purpose -- I have certainly used "just" without thinking about it -- we don't want a word that feels like it blames someone for using the wrong word. That's why I said "implicitly downplaying"; you're (usually) not explicitly downplaying something (although people do, it usually requires a bigger mindset shift to realise why that's bad).
#[KevinMarks]In the UK we'd say something like "oh, I just made a website for it, no big deal" which is a way of sounding modest while boasting
#capjamesg[d]I think we definitely should have a wiki page on this, even if the page has a placeholder name that we change later.
#capjamesg[d]This is a resource I'd link to other technical writers; the list itself is incredibly valuable.
#capjamesg[d]We can even brainstorm names on the wiki 😉
