[tantek] the difference is that you can swap domain providers all over the world, whereas cellphone providers you're likely limited to your country or region
#
[tantek] this tends to make domain providers more competitive and work harder to earn your trust, since you have more options, and lower switching costs
#
[tantek] so whenever you have concerns about domain providers, remember that you've handwaved away 10x such concerns about your cellphone provider

I do a reverse proxy of some .well-known endpoints from my mastodon instance at http://pub.calebhearth.com. https://github.com/snarfed/bridgy-fed/blob/main/web.py#L653 seems to be where I’m getting caught, as that’s the flash I see.
