Lars-ChristianI've been using spreadsheets forever, and now text files in recent years. So almost all of my data is stored in text or csv files. Use very few "specific use case apps".

[Murray]I'd also recommend Netlify. Free tier allows you to configure your own domain (even host it with them, if you want), drag'n'drop uploads or Git integration (e.g. via GitHub), and a pretty solid amount of bandwidth/storage etc.
[Murray]Plus they've recently introduced price locks, so you can guarantee that you will never get charged, even if your traffic suddenly spikes (or do the opposite, if you're financially able; point is the control is yours)
[Murray]Yep, though I personally find some of the additional complexity with GitHub (e.g. what KevinMarks said about domains) to be less than user friendly. As you say, Netlify has similar/same options, but a different UI/UX, so it might be preferable. Always good to consider options 🙂
[Murray][tantek] I already did, a month or so ago. I've added it directly below that criticism. Happy to reorder or something, but I didn't want to erase existing content (or remove valid prior critique)
[tantek][Murray] I think it's ok to move it to a "resolved" subsection and note the dates it was added and resolved. Strike through is less readable and can be ambiguous as to why it was struck thru
GWGI'm looking to create a directory style listing on a page. Trying to decide on how it should look. Anyone have some good examples that might inspire me?
[KevinMarks]Bullets can work well if they're category markers, otherwise they can look a bit repetitive, if there's no need to scan to the next heading.

adarHi, I wonder if you could recommend affordable wordpress hosting for a simple indieweb blog. The most affrordable wordpress hosting I can find is $2.50 a month from interserver.net. Does anyone have experience of using interserver.net?
[Joe_Crawford]I’m not sure what the cost would be for Pikapods for WordPress. Pretty cheap but I believe price might creep up if you have a lot of content. That’s pure speculation.
adarthanks, looks like pikapods would be £1.56 per month for the basic tier. It's not clear what bandwidth the basic tier offers. I'll check it out. 5 bucks welcom credit!
