[Joe_Crawford]Attention can always have undesirable effects, but sharing the http://indieweb.org site or #indieweb Hashtag are fine. Any organization would prefer that you not misrepresent what that organization does or stands for. Many folks follow the hashtag for example in multiple venues.
mariteauxi don't actually use neocities anymore, i have my own hosting, but that's the closest i've come to people who align with my interests (closest being relative)
khromeHeya everyone! I respect this movement and pine for the old days of the web like everyone here… I am on my own journey though, which is similar, but aligned… I’m writing browser and server compatible (uncompiled) JS. I’ve now been doing this for 2y and have a bunch of foundational libraries, a testing lib (mocha based) and other tooling. Sometimes, It feels like I’m the only person on earth building this way. Anyone seen
mariteauxi do both honestly, i have a couple versions of my site, one for modern devices, and two for retro pcs hooked up to the internet (like mine are)
mariteauxbut i have been relearning some of the newer web technologies like flex and grid and the more advanced css selectors you can do now and it is pretty mind-blowing

blootSometimes I have an urge for an “everything app”, but mostly I just enjoy pottering around and seeing what the different apps/rooms in the party have to offer!
blootfunny, I saw a bandcamp daily feed in the tapestry App Store pics. But for me, it’s nice to have a separate app for music so you can listen while you are doing other stuff. An “everything app” wouldn’t be good for concentrated listening for me, anyway
carrvoYour "everything app" is your OS! Like, really, it provides plugins (in the form of apps) and gives you an interface to navigate between the features.
carrvoMaybe it could be more "pluggable" so that you can have a smoother transition. Maybe it could have more defaults. Maybe it could have more customization.
