Hi guys, i'm actually planning on publishing my own blog. I would like to have some suggestions about the writing style. Is it right to publish writings in essays style under the blog section? Blog post needs to be less formal? What do you think?
#
[tantek]
All the above are fine and welcome! Blog posts can be as formal or not as you like! And welcome scimmiarancia++

I would say it depends. Also, whatever you decide will be fine. For me, I would keep sections to a minimum, unless they each have a lot of distinct content, then it makes sense to "categorise" them – you can do that as a separate section OR a category of (blog) post.

i was thinking to use tags like [essay] [writings] (writings for more personal consideration and short psot) then to have another section for journaling. Could work?

[tantek]: Do you mean what i want to post?
#
[tantek]
scimmiarancia, yes. And I’d advise keep it simple to start. Just start. Single composite stream of all your posts. Optionally hashtag them if you like by what comes to mind while writing.
#
[tantek]
Don’t worry about “categorizing” them in any kind of hierarchy or other subnav structure. Ignore, procrastinate any such kind of “meta” thinking/work and focus on the writing/content instead. Too many people spend too much time up front about setting up a “system” before getting to the point, which is writing & publishing the actual content.

mark_on02[d] Your site looks good! I especially like your custom ::selection style to change text colour on selection.

I've stolen the design from obsidian. I use that for write markdowns

I was kinda not sure about the structure of the post. Do u think it could go? I think maybe I need to add something before the conclusion
#

I haven't had time to read through the full post so I'm not sure I can give good feedback. Generally, though, if you feel like you want to add something to a post it's a good idea to try and see if it helps add to the flow that you are trying to achieve.

https://www.morganwebdev.org/posts/wcag-open-source-contribution/ A little bit of blowing my own 🎺 but a post on my website about making an open source contribution to the WCAG project that went really well. Basically a lot of the issues are very formal and years-long committee like issues that need work from a lot of angles but I got in there and found a low hanging fruit 🍎 , hope it provides some inspiration to others
