@burgeonlab so glad you posted this, and that I loved also getting a mention in the links 😄 ! 👏

Woah, I was trying to apply the right mf2 markup and testing webmentions with `curl` using the instructions on https://news.indieweb.org/en/submit. I didn't know Loqi will push the post here... does that mean if I decide to setup automatic sending of webmention in my CI pipeline, this channel will be spammed with my already existing indieweb posts? 😱
#
[morgan]
Good to investigate, but your post and website is honestly so good no one is too concerned aha the notifications are a bit wild around the place
#
burgeonlab
[morgan] Thanks for checking it out! You always share about interesting projects you have going on. ;)
#
[morgan]
Ive started a new project! its about CSS animations. I am speaking at a virtual meetup later in the month
#
Loqi
friendly reminder burgeonlab, [morgan], that's a lot of dev jargon! CI , markup, mf2, CSS... can you move to #indieweb-dev?
#
burgeonlab
sorry, thanks for the reminder Loqi++

Fair call yes- but in spirit, I am doing stuff on my personal site, and documenting it! and having a good adventure
#
burgeonlab
I love reading how others work on their personal site. Looking forward to it [Morgan]!

Hi
#
tgagor
I still struggle with few things, I guess #indieweb-dev is best place to try my luck with tech questions, right?
#
tgagor
I've been thinking for a while to try this "IndieWeb thingie" on [my site](https://gagor.pro/) and I did, yesterday and wanted to say "Hello!"

#
burgeonlab
Hi tgagor, welcome! I'm relatively new to this "IndieWeb thingy" too and yeah, #indieweb-dev is the channel for all the tech and jargon talk.

@tgagor and @burgeonlab - welcome! I also didn't know indienews showed up in this channel, I thought it was something only set up for the #stream channel, but I liked the posts regardless.

[tantek]
tgagor, in general we do encourage indieweb-specific posts to be syndicated to IndieNews rather than all blog posts
#
[tantek]
What is IndieNews
#
Loqi
IndieNews is an indieweb-specific news aggregator which only accepts submissions via webmention, and is for syndicating posts relevant to the indieweb https://indieweb.org/IndieNews
#
[tantek]
What is relevant to the IndieWeb?
#
Loqi
Anything directly related to people with their own websites, such as technologies and services used, design and UX, formats and protocols, as well as events or podcasts with IndieWeb talks or content are relevant to the IndieWeb wiki https://indieweb.org/relevant_to_the_IndieWeb

A lot of my recent work is in generative AI and creative tooling.
#
tg8749
I’ve integrated OpenAI APIs, Canva AI, and custom models to support generative text, image synthesis, and media transformation.
#
tg8749
I’ve built AI art tools, image generation pipelines, and multimodal systems that combine text, images, audio, and video.
#
tg8749
On the backend, I use Python, JavaScript, and Go, with scalable cloud deployments on AWS AI services.
#
tg8749
I also work heavily with synthetic data and augmentation to improve model robustness.
#
tg8749
The goal is always usable output, not just impressive samples.
#
Loqi
hey tg8749: we try to keep jargon (tooling, APIs) out of this channel to make it more inviting to newcomers, can you move this to #indieweb-dev?

We have an open slot for hosting the IndieWeb Movie Club next month if anyone is interested, especially if you've not hosted one before! You basically select a movie and write a little intro post about it. More info: https://indieweb.org/IndieWeb_Movie_Club

on a positive note, has anyone explored creating a "cassette futurism" theme / design for their website? like some of the things shown in https://martin-fieber.de/blog/cassette-futurism/ (follow-on from this morning's IndieWebMovieClub zoom)
#
[tantek]
since there are video games with such designs, it seems like there could be (or likely are) personal websites with such aesthetics
