the-archivisthi there, I'm updating my self on everything indie web after spending a year or so deplatforming, I may or may not decide to have an online presence on small fringes of the web, we'll see. but in the meantime, happy to keep track of what's going on
ThrakbadHi all! I'm also one of the people who found this place through youtube. I'm just working through the IndieWeb verification via rel-me links. I've gotten Github to work, but Bluesky isn't working. I've done the domain verification *and* added a link to my profile description, but the validator still says "does not link back". So before I dive into an unnecessary debugging session. Can anyone tell me where exactly I have to link back fr
capjamesgI just checked what a Bluesky profile looks like without JavaScript and there isn't an a href link back to my website even though I have set up my domain there.
CheatCame across this movement from YouTube. I am currently building a fully custom forum that I completely own (without any ads). Is this the right place to post the link?
[morgan]Id love to have a conversation with anyone about zines, I put stuff on my personal website, there is also an updates to the wiki https://indieweb.org/zine
[Murray]Always been a big fan of forums; used to admin and mod several back in the IPB days (and later the lesser-known splinter group, JFB). Always fascinated to see what a "modern" take on them looks like, this is cool!

[morgan]2Hey so zines... I love them. I love the old school DIY ethos and also modern zines which come in PDFs and websites. Somehow I have never really seen a zine I didnt like. Perhaps because I can arbitrarily say its not a zine but something else, but basically I love zines.
btremI have a Sonic Youth 12" ep from the mid-80s whose insert contains an amateur interview with the band that had been published in some zine. (FAOD I do *not* use the term "amateur" pejoratively.)
loke_artemisIn Spain some people are working on doing a zine festival where instead of people filling by themselves an entire table (Or groups of organized people) the tables will be fill with zines from everybody mixed (A lot of people being able to share just one zine) and I can't wait to find the amount of underground art that there will be
loke_artemis[morgan]2: Yeah! They also have jams where for an limitante amount of time people create something between a few rules, normally it's for videogames but you can find for zines too
