[Al_Abut]I did some writing to flesh out the idea a bit more and I’m going to start small first before tackling a full on feed reader. I've been meaning for ages to hook up sharing from my readwise/reader bookmarks and highlights to my blog and socials, so this’ll be a good excuse to build out some of the underlying primitives
lwindolfHello! I'm currently trying to decide whether to add microsub support to GTK feed reader liferea. Technically (aside from the need to support OIDC) it seems easy. I worried though that the microsub spec is still a draft with man open issues in Github. What to expect there?
[tantek]much thanks! yes it's not a good place for automatic syndication. better to manually syndicate posts that you've written specifically about indieweb things!
LoqiAnything directly related to people with their own websites, such as technologies and services used, design and UX, formats and protocols, as well as events or podcasts with IndieWeb talks or content are relevant to the IndieWeb wiki https://indieweb.org/relevant_to_the_IndieWeb
[fnhipster]Any suggestions for a directory or aggregator for content published by Indieweb users? Looking for places to follow and get updates from random posts from users in the community. What do you all use?
Loqistream.indieweb.org is a web view of a stream of public posts with relevant hashtags across various services, that are also shown in the #stream chat channel https://indieweb.org/stream.indieweb
LoqiDiscovery is a variety of methods for finding content, websites, communities, or people to follow on the web including search, directories, recommendation engines, tags, or other serendipitous methods; there are also discovery-algorithms for developers https://indieweb.org/Discovery
gRegorI'm drawing a blank on the name currently, but there was a new-ish project that was aggregating posts from feeds that people could opt in to, that might be a good option
LoqiA feed reader (sometimes called an RSS reader) is an application (local or on the web) subscribes to feeds (often limited to Atom or RSS) and presents posts from them in an interface for reading, typically without any way to respond, in contrast to an interactive social reader https://indieweb.org/aggregator
