Could someone review my PR make sure it looks good. Should be; just really simple next / prev links to indiewebify.me: https://github.com/indieweb/indiewebify-me/pull/50/commits/7357ad7ab53510b2b63be1c494138e499ea332f4
#
aaronpk
oh nice
#
aaronpk
have you run it locally?
#
gRegorLove
I just merged someone else's PR fixing some missed closing divs
#
aaronpk
it looks good except it needs to be resynced
#
aaronpk
looks like those other merges conflicted
#
gRegorLove
I'm not sure what that means, hah
#
gRegorLove
aaronpk: Updated. Let me know if I did that right.
#
gRegorLove
I didn't collapse the merge
#
aaronpk
sweet, looks good
#
gRegorLove
yayy, I broke something.
#
aaronpk
oh gosh
#
gRegorLove
Will fix
#
aaronpk
probably missing/extra div

Re: previous discussion about KevinMark's extension. If anyone wants to test my rel="me" verification add-on, you can grab the source from https://github.com/Zegnat/verify-me-locally and load it into Firefox, Opera, or Chrome (those three are tested).
#
Zegnat
I still haven't gotten the extension packaged for easy install, so sorry for that.

Zegnat: yours doesn't use indiewebify.me?

#
Zegnat
It does all the fetching and DOM parsing within the extension itself, and is triggered curently with a button rather than automatically.
#
Zegnat
This comes with its own set of advantages and disadvantages of course, but does solve the whole "third-party" issue as described by sknebel
#
sknebel
and aaronpks bill
#
Zegnat
Haha, yes, that too!
#
Loqi
hehe
#
Zegnat
And if people actually start using it, they can start filing bugs ... yeah, I really should package it for easier installing.
#
Zegnat
makes a note
#
Zegnat
Mine isn't compatible with Firefox for Android though, but I don't think that usergroup is very big for KevinMarks' extension either

GWG
Good morning, all.
#
pfefferle
hej hej...
#
Loqi
pfefferle: GWG left you a message 1 day, 17 hours ago: My vim config auto-indents now. I'm not sure why you keep finding issues. I set everything to try and overcome my issues.
#
pfefferle
GWG seems like it is your super hero strength :)
#
GWG
pfefferle: Wouldn't that be my superhero weakness?
#
pfefferle
GWG or you are the super villain ;)
#
GWG
pfefferle: I hope not. If I was, what is my evil plot? To write open source software to take over the world?
#
pfefferle
GWG sounds like a plan :D
#
GWG
pfefferle: My plans of Indieweb domination aside, anything new there?
#
pfefferle
GWG I made some changes in the new branch... will commit them later, so we can discuss them...
#
pfefferle
GWG like your changes so far, perhaps some small tweaks and we can release the 3.0.0 with API support...
#
pfefferle
GWG btw. you inspired me, so I started refactoring my other plugins https://github.com/pfefferle/wordpress-open-search-document
#
GWG
pfefferle, I would like to get a new version out that complies with the specification, which is what started this stream of PRs earlier this year.
#
pfefferle
GWG is the latest branch spec complient or do we still have to add some changes?
#
GWG
Then Semantic Linkbacks still reretrieves the source, which was the other problem on the list.
#
pfefferle
GWG sure, but we should start that one after releasing 3.0.0 of the webmentions
#
GWG
pfefferle, except for asynchronous processing(The basic time delay option I wrote in doesn't really count) and one or two minor recommendations we would be
#
GWG
Asynchronous is a major recommendation but not required.
#
GWG
pfefferle, I am not going anywhere. I will continue to contribute.
#
pfefferle
GWG ok, will have a look at it... What about deleting mentions
#
GWG
pfefferle, in the new code, it passes 410 back to the hook. But currently doesn't do anything with it.
#
GWG
So it is just a matter of adding it.
#
pfefferle
GWG ok, perhaps this will be an easy one to implement before releasing
#
GWG
I'll see about the code.
#
GWG
The question is what a deleted webmention should look like. There are discussions on that. Or whether it should completely vanish.
#
GWG
Probably the default implementation will be to delete it for now
#
pfefferle
GWG sure i would start with deleting
#
pfefferle
and perhaps we try to be complient to https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-410
#
Zegnat
GWG: "what is my evil plot? To write open source software to take over the world?" - maybe that's the indieweb conspiracy aaronpk was quoting in #indiechat ;)
