Zegnat Re: previous discussion about KevinMark's extension. If anyone wants to test my rel="me" verification add-on, you can grab the source from https://github.com/Zegnat/verify-me-locally and load it into Firefox, Opera, or Chrome (those three are tested).

Zegnat It does all the fetching and DOM parsing within the extension itself, and is triggered curently with a button rather than automatically.

Zegnat This comes with its own set of advantages and disadvantages of course, but does solve the whole "third-party" issue as described by sknebel
