#jjuranZegnat: The actual filename really does contain "::" at the OS level. The Finder and other UI components display ':' as '/' for backward compatibility with classic Mac OS.
#ZegnatI figured, jjuran. Also because you can’t enter a literal : in a filename.
#ZegnatA little counter intuitive imho, but manageable.
#jjuranNeXTstep did the same trick to deal with HFS disks in the 90's.
#aaronpkmy AWS bandwidth bill is getting quite large, anyone know how to track down what in particular is contributing to my bandwidth line item on my bill?
#eli_oatI know some folks run into gotchya's with IPs and AWS...I think it is cheaper to have a private IP than a public one, maybe? I can do some digging
#aaronpkah i figured it out, it's bandwidth for Glacier
#aaronpkmy private dropbox backs up to Glacier, which apparently is now 80gb/month going up to Glacier
#aaronpkgoing to disable that since i have an alternative backup service now
#eli_oatI've oggled many a synology. I'm running a home-grown raspberry pi with a heap of ancient HDs. It is rickity, noisey, but so far is working pretty well.
#LoqiSynology is a company that makes storage products which allow installation of apps, and can be used as a home web server https://indieweb.org/Synology
#GWGI used to build my own. Then it died and I bought a cheap QNAP
