@Konzertheld
Also, I think I want to have webmentions. I don't really need comments (right now) but I want to display something.

@franckpaul Les avatars viennent de Twitter. Je vais essayer de voir si je peux faire quelque chose pour les Webmentions venant de blogs… ?

Moving to -dev because code.
#
dgold
the actual <title>? or the title=
KevinMarks joined the channel
#
dgold
<title> is required in SVG-spec, Zegnat
#
Zegnat
The <title> on the line I link to. It is not within the <svg>.
#
Zegnat
So right now it is an HTML element in an invalid place.
#
dgold
because I put it in the wrong place, that's why!
#
Zegnat
Easy enough to fix then. I was confused as I don't usually work with svg and didn't put 1 and 1 together.
#
dgold
I had it right on non-microposts metadata, just screwed up there
#
dgold
I've been trying to get my indentation to look better on src-view, but I think I'm just going to give up

dgold: I once write some PHP code that specifically indented content blocks, e.g. after rendering markdown, just to have indentation look good
#
Zegnat
I gave up in the end. Too much hassle for very little return

#
dgold
exactly what I'm thinking - I looked at throwing my sith through a tidylib after rendering, but that's kinda insane on every level
#
dgold
plus, it broke many things
#

s/sith/site
#
Zegnat
Interesting that tidy would break stuff, that’s not really supposed to happen right?
#
dgold
it's very opinionated
#
dgold
oh, it would appear that my opinions about tidy are themselves woefully outdated

would be interesting to see a version of webmention that doesn't require me to post a comment/reply on my own site
#
TheGillies
like I fill out the box like I would as a normal comment field, and then auth as my domain
#
TheGillies
I really only want to post actual articles on my site and not be responsible for maintaining a million little. "looks cool" and "nice jobs"
KevinMarks, KevinMarks_ and KartikPrabhu joined the channel

that wouldn't be webmention anymore, but of course you could make a comment system like this.
#
sknebel
or an open comment-hosting site that then sends a webmention (similar to commentpara.de, but not-anonymous)

#

also note that you don't have to have a feed of comments to send a webmention. You can just have a folder of .html files somewhere on your server where you add to, and you can delete them even after you sent the mention, if you don't care about the long web.

right, they don't need nice formatting or anything if you don't intend on people reading them on your site
