aaronpk: I'm looking at the checkin issue you identified.

Right now, I'm embedding the location in the post, but not in the checkin.
#
GWG
I'm trying to figure out if that is an issue.

good night all. Think I’ve got my profile page thought through, tomorrow night hope to put it into code.

sebsel
yaay, I got aaronpk's watchtower working, now I only need a reader.
#
sebsel
aaronpk Monocle's composer.json says php 7.0, but since you added doctrine/dbal 2.6, Monocle now requires 7.1 (which I don't have on my debian jessie thing)
#
sebsel
ah well, the Monocle part I actually want to build myself to fit my needs, but I was just trying it out :)
#
sebsel
aaronpk++ for working with re-useable building blocks

what is watchtower
#
Loqi
It looks like we don't have a page for "watchtower" yet. Would you like to create it?
#
sebsel
watchtower is https://github.com/aaronpk/watchtower, a minimal API for watching web pages for changes, roughly speaks the WebSub protocol
#
loqi.me
created /watchtower (+165) "prompted by cweiske and dfn added by sebsel"

#
cweiske
does this mean I can use watchtower to get updates on the chat.indieweb.org channels for my search engine?
#
cweiske
live indexing?
#
sebsel
watchtower handles the polling for you... but it's still polling and then calling a callback.
#
sebsel
I believe websub support is on the wishlist
#
cweiske
my search engine supports websub already
#
cweiske
and I have cronjobs that crawl the chat log pages every 15 minutes or so
#
cweiske
I'd get rid of them
#
cweiske
since watchtower acts as websub server
#
Zegnat
sebsel you should add a PHP repo for Debian. That’s what I have done. 7.1 is stable, and 7.0 will soon lose active support.

Loqi, messages?

gRegorLove: Zegnat left you a message 6 days, 6 hours ago: did you document what sort of micropub request you make for your /read posts? https://indieweb.org/2017/Demos#gRegor_Morrill
#
gRegorLove
Zegnat: I haven't. I should get back to that. It's a basic h-cite mf2 though

I also haven't been using it regularly. :/

[gRegor Morrill] Martijn asked if I had documented the micropub request I make for read posts. I had not yet, so decided to make some quick notes while it's fresh in my mind. Currently, it sends an h-cite object with properties: status, url, name, author, and isbn....
