[eddie] [chrisaldrich] also something else to think about. You would probably want to do future invites from the actual event, not the rsvp. Because if I “reply” to the post that invited me, it’s an rsvp, not an event. So that will trick most Micropub interfaces to not provide RSVP options

I guess if that becomes a common thing, a Micropub client when evaluating a reply to an RSVP could also allow you to “RSVP” to the event in the u-in-reply-to, essentially making it easier to also RSVP to the same event
