Or right, this is a tweet. I have been confused for a moment and though you had a way to somehow generate webmentions from lobste.rs
#

although there was talk at some point to add Webmentions to lobste.rs

What is a TLD?
#
Loqi
A top-level domain (TLD) is the last part of a domain name, such as .com, .net, .org https://indieweb.org/TLD

could you imagine how much progress could be made on indieweb stuff with $185K to fund work?
#
[jgmac1106]
I am trying federal grant work but that will only be like 85-100k a year and rarely awarded on first submission
#

Oops this was tld thought it was call back to crowdsourcing

When talking about Channel POST action, the microsub spec says: "Note that the default and notifications channels can not be deleted". There is no other mention of a "default" channel though? Does it mean you can't delete the last channel, or is there a requirement for a channel with UID "default"?
#
aaronpk
ooh good catch
#
aaronpk
I think earlier there was a channel with UID "default" but we dropped that requirement

looks like I forgot to update that sentence after that discussion
#
oyam
aaronpk: thanks!
#
oyam
aaronpk: just to clarify that update, the user can't delete the last channel, right?
#
oyam
(last, not counting "notifications")

I guess it wouldn't break anything if the user did delete the last channel
#
aaronpk
it would just look weird for there to not be any channels in the interface
#
aaronpk
but clients have to get the list of channels to show, and the server would just return an empty list

What is Open Library?

It looks like we don't have a page for "Open Library" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "Open Library is ____", a sentence describing the term)

aaronpk: My confusion/clarificatipn on deleting was coming from here: "Servers must always have a channel with the uid notifications, and must always have at least one other channel for a user." , which implies there must be at least one channel that's not notifications
#
aaronpk
ah yeah, good catch. at this point we should look at the clients and see if they all have done the same things regarding the number of channels
#
oyam
heh yeah. I'm biased, as I'm implementing both client and server :)
