#Loqigiving credit is a collection of cultural practices related to acknowledging and attributing text, hyperlinks, quotes, utterances to others, typically by name, as a way of recognizing their contribution(s) https://indieweb.org/generator
#Loqiusing is the name of an authoring and/or publishing application, or can also be a page of tools and services that someone uses or likes to use https://indieweb.org/using

#Zegnatjacky: just a first thought but generated sounds like the CMS that outputs the final HTML, while published could be the tool used to send the data to the CMS with?
#ZegnatThat would also make sense for generator meta vs a published-using post property
#aaronpkAlso another reminder that there is little value in publishing an mf2 property without an expected consuming use case
#aaronpkI store that outside of my mf2 data since its part of the auth token data really. It's stored internally as "client_id"
#jackyI was planning to show it as a little icon in my reader

#jackybut that seems to be machine-to-machine in that case
#swentelaaronpk, if you're interested in a new feature for aperture. Optional push notifications https://indigenous.realize.be/push-notifications - users can enter an API token to get notified for new content, maybe even per channel. But I'll let you decide of course :)
#LoqiHow does it work?
Login with IndieAuth on this site to create an account and get an API token. Use the same account you register with in the app.
Go into settings in Indigenous and click on 'Setup push notifications' to register your device.

#Loqiswentel: [eddie] left you a message 1 minute ago: Redirect set up. Congrats! Let me know if you notice any issues with the redirect but it should be all set
#[eddie]Yeah, I imagine that is. My planned tech push platform is Amazon Push, but same thing, it'll be interesting to try to test the push notifications with various people and devices
#ZegnatGWG, I was following the recommendation for webmention verification: using an HTML parser
#ZegnatThat lead me to start an issue/discussion on the spec about what HTML attributes should be considered “links”
#Zegnat!tell jgmac1106 print in PHP is just an alias for echo, it will write to the output buffer (which is usually what you send to the browser)]
#[jgmac1106]Thx Zegnat maybe I messed up then putting the echo inside of print.. Will be back at it the morning

#[kim_landwehr]@swentel I have started to use Indigenous for Android with Aperture but when I log in my channels are not loading, all I get is an "check your internet connection". What should I look for?
#swentel[kim_landwehr], hmm interesting, can you see if Indigenous has found the microsub endpoint ? If you go to 'Accounts' (in Indigenous itself)
#swentelthere should be section listing the endpoints
#swentel[kim_landwehr], ooh, I see what's wrong, you have two microsub endpoints .. I know that's a bug in Indigenous, it can't find it then
#[kim_landwehr]@swentel thanks does it matter which one I keep?
#swentel[kim_landwehr], do you use both ? If not, then I'd remove the one that's not used in the header links.
#swentelwhen there's only one, Indigenous will pick it up then (you can refresh in the accounts the section)

#jackyjgmac1106[m]: are you trying to make a file download in the browser?
#Loqisknebel has 42 karma in this channel over the last year (109 in all channels)
#[eddie]I think I'm on to something with my serverless Media Endpoint! The whole load balancer suggestions from sknebel led me to looking at CloudFront, and it seems like (not all testing is complete yet) I might be able to redirect from the media endpoint to the s3 bucket for file uploads if a POST request is coming in
#[eddie]I still don't know if I will run into any issues redirecting a POST file upload, but :crossed_fingers:
#[eddie]it gives me a single media endpoint url that doesn't expire again, that can sign and return a temporary s3 upload url for the single file

#@jaroslawjarosik↩️ And in future (probably far) I want to create Microsub client using this UI, earlier tried playing with Feedly and TT-RSS but their APIs aren't really the most friendly things, especially that TT-RSS lacks article removal (twitter.com/_/status/1115358343797837825)
