↩️ Yeah. I was starting to look at a high-level what a back link protocol would look like a few months ago. Didn’t even think about spam until I came across webmentions. I guess each implementation needs to have its own spam filter built in?

Webmentions とか見てもワクワクしないあたり、もともとコミュ課題ある気質が露呈してくのよね自分。

Webmentions are an open standard for a reaction to a thing on the web. It's currently in W3C recommendation status.… https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1307923517309153282

I had a chat in #indieweb (https://chat.indieweb.org/2020-09-21#t1600688594898400) on my issues to submit a blogpost to Indienews. Continue the discussion here. Changing the class from u-syndication to u-category didn't solve the problem...

[[frank]] What am I doing wrong? I updated a blogpost from last week to syndicate to news.indieweb.org/nl. The article can be found on https://diggingthedigital.com/een-sociaal-netwerk-via-je-nieuwsbrief-en-eigen-site/

[frank] if you use “p-comment h-cite” the comments will be part of the h-entry
#
[pfefferle]
in a comments section
#
[frank]
[pfefferle] Would that also be visible on indienews then?
#
[frank]
Right now I can't get anything on it...

[pfefferle]
[frank] seems to be a bug… my implementation doesn’t work either

[pfefferle] That's too bad. I'll file a bugreport later today. Back to work now 🙂

Curious, what do people use to measure engagements on their personal site/blog nowadays? Google Analytics/Webmention/other stuffs? Or do you not track at all?

↩️ I wonder about this too! I mean, webmentions tell me who wants to really engage with my posts or whatnot, but not who dropped by to read. And yet I don't really want to deploy something as invasive as GA.

↩️ I send Webmentions for reads & listens to notify authors, but I'm waiting for reading/podcast apps that will allow me to authenticate & make read/listen posts via micropub automatically, or versions that will send even generic notifications via webmention. https://boffosocko.com/2020/09/21/55777376/
