[social][artlung] you mentioned you JSON data searching issue and thinking about SQL may have been a better route. Have you looked at Postgres which allows for JSON as a data type and indexing it for search. This works really well and have used it on work project in the past few years. MariaDB now also supports it, but I haven’t used it in MariaDB / MySQL.
[artlung]Right, that's precisely what I was saying in response to Ross saying he would be using a SQLite database. His good decision reminded me of my own decision and the negative downstream effects. I mean, it works fine for my use! Running code. But it has consequences. 🙂
[artlung]On the plus side: single files infrequently written work great for this. They scale, have no dependencies, I can safely sync dev and production, etc.
[Trevor_Morris]Talking of Spotify playlists. I have backed up my "top songs of xx" for a few years. I have synced them to a service I use called MusicThread. They've got a command line importer. I think sync these to *my* website.
