[Michael_Kupiet]Apropos of nothing, just to throw something out there for whoever might pass through, I'm spending my saturday night debugging PHP. I've got a script that has turned into a spaghetti pile and suddenly changing one parameter is affecting other things I didn't expect it to and have to trace the strands to find where th' heck it's branching unexpectedly. It's not exactly a good time, per se, but it beats sitting around watching TV.

[Michael_Kupiet]Wow. I got webmentions working tonight, and haven't even posted it yet except for a passing mention on here and one test with http://beatonma.org, and already got webmention spam, less than 15 minutes after the one successful test, on a hidden page that isn't even linked from anywhere or indexed on Google.
[Michael_Kupiet]I'm already thinking I'm going to need to fork or contribute to it, I need some things it doesn't do yet (allow webmentions by category, redirect homebapge webmentions to a post instead of a page.)
[Michael_Kupiet]I don't have comments turned on for non-logged-in users, and no login link anywhere on the site. And my login page URL is concealed, I moved it.
[Michael_Kupiet]No! [aaronpk] it looks like you're right. The WP screen appears to distinguish between mentions and comments, and say that's a comment.
[Michael_Kupiet]I have a plugin that says XLM-RPC and REST commenting is disabled, and, I have commenting disabled on that post type, although I don't know if that's just disabling the display. This is why I like to code my own plugins, I really don't know how these 3rd party plugins work.
