zacharykaiwritesI have a question, please. I use a system for a captcha on all my forms where to submit the form, people have to type in the title of the post (the h1 at the top) into one of the form fields. However, it seems to work for some people and not others, but it always works for me when I try to test it. Is there something I'm missing or not making clear? Here's an example: https://zacharykai.net/lists/titletrade and
zacharykaiwritesThat's a good point, thank you! I've double-checked the PHP script I use, and it was trimming trailing space in the form cases, but not on a high-level, so I've added that in. Do you know anything else that might be causing it?
[fluffy]Also make sure people are entering just the text and not `<h1<Title Traders</h1>` or the like. :) Might be worth logging the failed attempts so that you can see what exactly is going wrong.

[artlung]I alluded the other day to breaking my affirmations bot (bluesky edition) and I fixed it a few days ago. The code I handrolled worked for several months but some aspect of it failed. Rather than debug it I tried this lib https://github.com/williamsdb/php2Bluesky which works great.
[artlung]I think I need to set up test bluesky and mastodon accounts to better test robustness. I tend to run live fire tests and delete the failures which emphasizes "it's working, stop changing code!" over "it's working, let's simulate more failures to assure robustness"
[artlung]Once I do that I'm going to revisit my indieweb bots. Likely to look at announcements around events, and maybe some other indieweb writing amplification.
[Michael_Kupiet][aaronpk] just to put a bow on it: turns out my 3rd party plugin that was supposed to prevent people from leaving comments via REST isn't working. I just managed to submit a spam comment from the command line myself. That's what was happening. So nothing to do with webmentions at all, just that I happened to enable comments internally at the same time, because the Indieweb webmentions plugin requires it. Fortunately there's ways to
