tdrayson I have been working on this sleep integration. Turns out my Auto Export health sync *was* still sending the data to my API endpoint, so I have lots of JSON files. However, I send the "summary" information, which doesn't include all the breakdowns for sleep 😞 I have manually export one to test locally and I've got this. The non-summary JSON files are 17mb each, so I need to check what data I actually need. And then I need t

back date it all!

That looks awesome! One thing I did that I think helped bring down the total non-summary data was only including one source
#

Then basically stripped out all of the other stuff

What I found was because I have an Apple Watch and order a ring and my phone tracks sleep as a fallback. When I was sending the data, it was actually sending all three sources. So I just have a priority to select ours if it exists and then falls back to the Apple Watch.

So maybe check if you’ve got duplicate entries from multiple sources

Ah, I'll give at a go. I'll tweak a manual export first, so I can pull it in locally. I only have certain data being sent over to my API, but I imagine the file-size will balloon if I remove the "summary" flag, which I need to do for the sleep data. It falls back to a single bar chart if the detail isn't there, which could be an option.
#
tdrayson
Yeah; I had a couple older entries that only had summary data because of how long ago they were.
#
[Trevor_Morris]
My current move/exercise/stand database table has space for the detailed information, eg per hour, like they show on the phone. But none of that data is populated. So it's another thing I need to make sure this new import can injest.

If you figure that out let me know

This is my "timeline" (with only sleep selected). Which is the basic bar.
#

Need another word for "analysis" next to the date, I don't like it repeating!

It is linked in the "blurb" in the main text on the homepage.

Is sleep linked in the filter list? I don’t see it

In the WAT category this morning -- when I went to add a website to Google Search Console -- in addition to "add a website" I see I can somehow add an X account, an Instagram account, a TikTok, or YouTube account.

[Trevor_Morris] Something I've been trying to wrap my head around recently is how I deal with all-day events in a timeline view. For my food tracking, I've just ended up putting it at 23:59 p.m. at the end of the day, but it feels wrong to put it there. I don't really have a better idea of when it should be stored for all-day events.

Same for the vitals, which are kind of like your fitness rings that you've got, which I plan to add. Again, I'm not sure where they should go because they would technically be the exact same time: 23:59.
#
[Trevor_Morris]
HA. I have exactly the same issue!
#
[Trevor_Morris]
I don't store the time when I watch a movie, only the date. But they're *usually* in the evening. Same for "day" things, like fitness and now the new sleep data.

So your timeline view is just ordered by when it was inserted into the database ?
#
[Trevor_Morris]
For the new sleep data I have `DB::raw("DATE_ADD({$created}, INTERVAL '23:01' HOUR_MINUTE) as created_at")` to move it above fitness which is `DB::raw("DATE_ADD({$created}, INTERVAL 23 HOUR) as created_at")` - not much happens after 11pm in my world! Moves are +21 hour, so they're always nearly last.
#
[Trevor_Morris]
I *might* watch a movie, then go for an activity… but they won't appear in *that* order.

I've been banging my head on these stupid time zone issues. When I travel to a new country, all of the future entries have to be keyed on the correct timeonze. Since I store the local wall clock time and a UTC column, it technically still orders in the timeline correctly. I don't get 9:00 AM rendering from New York after 1:00 PM in the U.K.

timezones have to be up there as one of the most painful things to deal with for a developer

I've found some strange listened data, when I was up during the cross-over. Some of my data is in UTC and other GMT, so that's a pain! lol

wordpress is such an attack vector now that just running it is exposure to all kinds of risk

[artlung]: email I got, when the users were created, that mailbox never get email, so I saw the notification on my phone and my brain was like, this is odd and new, why, check - and when I saw they had admin level role, I went hunting

its bit sad that a CMS powering such a big chunk of the web has become such attack vector

Wordpress served me well, for many years, but now its just too much of a risk, planning to migrate to a static site or even to indiekit

Breach — closed and root-caused. WPMU DEV Hub SSO minted passwordless admin sessions; attacker at 103.151.172.70 used one to create users 235/236 at 10:32 and 11:28 UTC today. The accounts were never used before you killed them. Vector is removed entirely, not merely disabled.
