Zegnat The DOM inspector in the browser. Just look at the TOC box and you see it has id="toc" and class="toc"

Zegnat Adding this below __TOC__ on a wiki page gives it a red background for me, so definitely style-able: <raw><style>#toc.toc{background-color:red;}</style></raw>

Zegnat That is a wiki tag that says the wiki should not parse anything between it. Just to make sure the style tag is included exactly as I type it.

sketchess I still wanna give it a go. Its interesting to see if there might be a simpler but pretty way to handle the wiki. I might have thought to complicated. But it was nice to discover some do and don'ts using old stuff.
