#[eddie]dougbeal, I won’t be at these sessions, I’m handing the reigns over to [chrisaldrich] and GWG for these next sessions 🙂 [chrisaldrich] didn’t necessarily feel that these needed to be live streamed. But if you guys would like to live stream them, GWG has the capability
#[eddie]Hmm, strange. If the next session’s hangout is showing that error, I say if everyone makes it into the current session’s hangout successfully, we just keep that hangout for both this session and the next since they are both wordpress and Hangouts is acting squirrelly
#[eddie]Thought I’d check Slack before going back to bed lol
#sknebel[eddie]: I caught that, but the last I saw mentioned was just streaming intros and demos then locally
#[jgmac1106]6-9 were my favortie sleep hours avter that 4-5 feeding
#[eddie]sknebel Yeah we ended up staying with hangouts because we just had a single session at a time so we thought why not since we’re already using it?

#ZegnatHmm. Should I add a Profile Pages Redux session to the grid, so people know we are going to have a try at doing one on EU time? sknebel, [Rose], [eddie], [jgmac1106]: thoughts?
#Zegnat“and record locally” - I will probably have the cameras turned off ;)
#ZegnatWe’ll see. I think sknebel was saying he kinda wanted to run AutoAuth on Jitsi?

#sknebelyeah. if we take good notes recordings for the sessions IMHO aren't so important, at least for what I think's gonna happen in the AutoAuth session
#sknebelZegnat: so you just pick something and announce where to go :D
#Zegnatkeeps a separate Chrome install just for these instances
#sknebelI don't use chrome for anything else either. which now means I need to log into Google, and apparently Google does not like the idea of me connecting from a new browser right now or I don't know
#ZegnatHmm, I think this one-track linear schedule of sessions is working really well, but I think that mostly because it ends up with [eddie] just hosting a string of micro casts about specific topics, haha
#chrisaldrichSome of them may also be captured in blog posts and then added to the posts section for camps.
#chrisaldrichbigger issues should certainly be pushed upstream to the bigger organizers page to make sure our future selves are aware and can plan appropriately.
#boffosocko.comedited /2019/Online (+349) "Added posts section; moved photos down the page a bit for discoverability of participation info." (view diff)
#[eddie]Makes sense! I’ll utilize a section on the IWC Online Planning page, and then as you said [chrisaldrich] anytime we see an issue being reflected in multiple IWCs it could be useful to upgrade it to the Organizers page

#[eddie]Zegnat: Interestingly, your common of “Eddie Hinke’s Vidcast Weekend” brings up an idea I had awhile ago. Essentially every once in awhile when there is a specific topic of interest to the community (like AutoAuth, Readers, etc) recording an “IndieWeb Roundtable” podcast episode, where whoever is interested in the topic joins to discuss it and brainstorm, with the final discussion being edited and released. I don’t know how good the
#[eddie]reminiscent of a couple of todays’ sessions, particularly AutoAuth and Groups
#ZegnatConsidering I listen to several podcasts that have that sort of format, sometimes in cut form and sometimes in raw twitch-stream-form, I would definitely listen to something like that
#chrisaldrichGiven how the Online Camp is going, it wouldn't be a horrible idea to have an etherpad of general camp-esque topics that people are interested in and doing occasional online sessions for just them when they reach some sort of critical mass.
#[eddie]That’s interesting. Ad-hoc sessions throughout the year
#ZegnatI guess the idea would be planning a time where people actually make an effort to all be there at the same time?
#chrisaldrichinvariably on IRC someone is sad that they missed the topic a day or two later and the conversation probably isn't as "rich" in chat/text as it might be in audio/video chat.

#chrisaldrichOr do it as the Topic of the Week/Month type of thing to get 10 or so people brainstorming in a particular direction
#chrisaldrichand doing it twice in a 24 hour period to cover the multitude of timezones...
#[eddie]Zegnat is leaning toward working on AutoAuth stuff.
#[eddie]Zegnat also considering a profile page redesign
#[Rose]Something like a Foodl to help pick the best time(s) for sessions, and the person that suggested it "hosting" would be good.
#[eddie]Eddie is going to work on adding AutoAuth to his personal website. First, being able to request access to other people’s sites. Second, to have support for sharing private content
#Loqi[sknebel] gonna be afk for a bit, so I'll just drop my projects in here now: I'd be up for doing AutoAuth related things (will probably at least do some spec issues, but if someone wants to implement it happy to provide the other half), and try to get the firs...
#chrisaldrichPerhaps the /2019/Online page should have a Hacking section that lists what everyone is working on?
#[eddie]I think one issue is if you double click on the text, I think most browsers don’t select the []’s where the all caps word would get completely highlighted
#gRegorLoveFor my IWC create day project, I'm going to continue tinkering with CSS grid photo gallery. I think I almost have it working in IE11 with flexbox fallback.
#Loqiask me anything or AMA is a public facing page which allows people to ask questions online they'd like the originator to answer https://indieweb.org/AMA
#jgmac1106gRegorLove thx was able to use your photos, now tryng to get the figcpation to display on hover
#Loqi[eddie] has 24 karma in this channel over the last year (89 in all channels)
#sknebelthe ad-hoc sessions thing is also someting I thought of today, with someone proposing a "session" for the near future
#sknebelnot sure how much people actually use the newsletter to discover events, but maybe adding it to the newsletter the week before is a useful form (fridays newsletter for saturday is probably a bit short notice)
