[grantcodes] Maybe a compromise is to explicitly say we'd prefer if you presented on the communal device, and if you need to use your own you can go afterwards to prevent so much switching

[Rose] Not an absolute requirement, some people prefer to demo offline, but they usually go absolutely last anyway

aaronpk We usually do recommend using the shared computer but it's just not possible for some demos

[Rose] (Of course, if Aaron has his Slingbox that might do the trick!)

aaronpk intros we can require using the same computer tho

aaronpk Yeah I'm considering bringing the SlingStudio. Tho lately I've found that some newer laptops don't play nice with it and I need to add a scaler between the laptop and the SlingStudio, which is what I did at the last donut.js

aaronpk but that ends up being two boxes and power bricks to bring, which isn't a ton, but it's not nothing

[Rose] I had an issue with one at MacStock this year, it wouldn't support USB C iPad Pros

aaronpk Yeah whatever Apple is doing with their HDMI it's not good

[Rose] I didn't have an issue with it connected directly to the projector though, or anything else HDMI that I've tried.

[tantek] I’m kinda done doing demos in Chrome (too many subtle things are broken) and on laptops that pop up that stupid thesaurus / dictionary thing when you click the wrong place on the trackpad

[tantek] If we’re going to use a shared laptop it should have that crap click UI turned off and also be running Firefox so we can use that instead of Chrome if we opt for it. Preferably Nightly for the best CSS support
