flow chart with either "provide proof of vaccination" or "get tested on site" which both then have arrows down to "get race weekend bracelet" which then has an arrow down to "pickup your bib number" and then a subsequent small text note that "bracelet must be worn through Monday" (which is the day of the marathon)

perhaps by 2022 there will be a lot more precedent for (read: expectations being set, normalizing of) requirements for vaccination and/or getting an *onsite* test before being allowed to participate in an event.

Yeah, I have to assume a lot of people are going to go through this and figure out what works. Jean and I were talking today because she just got back from the 360iDev conference. One neat idea that conference implemented was color-coded name badges for whether someone was comfortable with handshakes, fist bumps, no contact, etc.

ok, I added "Why you should avoid jargon in "common" conversations, especially jargon that means something specific to you that's not the same as the term is commonly understood: 2021-05-13 WIRED: [https://www.wired.com/story/the-teeny-tiny-scientific-screwup-that-helped-covid-kill/ The 60-Year-Old Scientific Screwup That Helped Covid Kill] <blockquote>Trapped in their group-specific jargon, the two camps on Zoom literally couldn’t" to the "See Also" section of /Category:jargon https://indieweb.org/wiki/index.php?diff=76786&oldid=76596

This is a great idea regardless! -> "color-coded name badges for whether someone was comfortable with handshakes, fist bumps, no contact, etc."
#
[tantek]
except something beyond just color to make it more accessible
#
[tantek]
someone is going to come up with a conference consent code for photos, physical contact etc.
#
[tantek]
code as in visual representation, not code as in conduct, though I'm sure that code will reference the other code 🙂
#
[tantek]
I think I also saw a conference badge color code thing for conversations like: happy to chat! maybe, ask first. or no, don't talk to me.

annoying how much I dont feel like committing for 2 months distance, but I guess it is what it is this year...
#
GWG
Trying to decide if I feel comfortable with international travel
#
[tantek]
GWG, I feel more comfortable with international travel (pre-flight negative tests required!) than domestic
#
GWG
And I gather Germany is doing well enough.
#
sknebel
could be better and trending upwards...
