yeah, maybe giving a new page like 24hrs to "settle" and get "corrected" before it gets tweeted?
#
aaronpk
i was thinking tweeting them *after* they make it to the newsletter since we do a decent job of cleaning up the dfns on newsletter day

Sounds like a good idea aaronpk
#
[tantek]
another way to do it is fully manual, once
#
[tantek]
that is, kind of like the !rt interface
#
[tantek]
someone could initiate hey this page is relevant to "current conversations"
#
[tantek]
and someone else could confirm
#
[tantek]
and that way there's a human editorial component as well, instead of it being every random new page
#
[tantek]
and once the indiewebcamp twitter had tweeted out a specific page, it wouldn't tweet out that page again in the future
#
[tantek]
I'd rather we *not* wait for the newsletter
#
[tantek]
because if anything, I'd like the trickle of new page tweets to be kind of a teaser-in-advance for the newsletter
#
[tantek]
for that week

meta question, do we have any problematic uses of "problematic"? per https://twitter.com/tmbejan/status/1442414902761689088

^ [KevinMarks] I feel you will appreciate this
#
[tantek]
(a quick wiki search https://indieweb.org/wiki/index.php?title=Special:Search&limit=100&offset=0&profile=default&search=problematic seems to show that many/most uses of "problematic" are paired with actual discrete lists of (or links to) specific problems, so it doesn't have the problem that that tweet thread explains)

GWG, re: Legoland New York, perhaps you can add it as a nearby attraction to the next IWC NYC wiki page 🙂
#
GWG
[tantek]: How far does an attraction have to be to be classified as 'nearby'?
#
[tantek]
that's a great question, it might depend on how remote an event location is in the first place, or how rare the attraction is, or convenience of visiting, or all the above

Why is linking to my profile with {{mxd.codes}} not working on indieweb? I would expect that small image with my name to show up like it's happening with {{jonnybarnes}} for example. Is there some guide how to implement it?

before I forget it, nteresting suggestion I just got: we could upload audio-only variants of the recordings from the popups (for people that want to listen on the go etc)
#

I thought maybe archive.org had that as an alternate format automaticlly, but doesnt seem so

I'm thinking columns of cards of issues like that could be useful for dev-centric pop-ups
