[tantek] gRegor++ is correct about the /Webmention & /Webmention-developer difference, attempted changes/transitions, and methodology of checking edit history to better understand all that (that being said, yes, it would also help to add that kind of methodology about a page info to perhaps an "About" section in the footer of the page, maybe just before "See Also")

I think it would be helpful, and since the edits would show up here in meta chat, we could monitor it and make any minor fixes as needed. There is a Wikipedia bot that does that btw, might be worth investigating that one to see if we could use it instead of writing our own.
