↩️ Indieweb has been doing a lot of work on this and could help bridge your various projects too.

@schnarfed
Today marks 10 years since I first launched https://brid.gy/, my little IndieWeb side project that connects social networks and personal websites. Happy birthday, buddy! https://snarfed.org/2022-01-08_happy-10th-birthday-bridgy

↩️ Yes, centralization by company is a big threat https://epeus.blogspot.com/2010/06/steve-jobs-and-curates-egg.html but monoculture is also a threat too https://indieweb.org/monoculture and cryptocurrency amplifies that tendency

↩️ The IndieWeb enthusiast in me loves this. It doesn’t need an app or anything, solutions can be bragged about without spoilers and using text, and since it’s one puzzle a day it feels more sustainable than mainlining sudoku.

↩️ What monoculture are you referring to? As someone who's part of that ecosystem, i can guarantee it's a lot more diverse than the orders of magnitude larger than the indieweb one for example...

↩️ PREACH. I keep reminding web3 folks about indieweb, to no avail. We have domain/identity adoption (ENS), the ability to push arbitrary JSON messages (EPNS)... Isn't that what indieweb needs anyway? Every day check #indieweb. Bad #indieweb. Can @Cambridgeport90 do something????

What is a status update?
#
Loqi
A note is a post that is typically short unstructured* plain text, written & posted quickly, that has its own permalink page https://indieweb.org/status_update
#
Loqi
ok, I added "https://status.cafe/" to the "See Also" section of /note https://indieweb.org/wiki/index.php?diff=79031&oldid=75384

That tweet makes no sense.

Unless I am reading it wrong. Which is definitely a possibility.

I think they want to build indieweb type things on a web3 substrate, which is a bit of a weird plumbing first exercise
