[chrisaldrich] would you have time to discuss "positive and proactive examples as a means to help people working on their own consumption patterns" sometime at HWC tonight?
#
[tantek]
maybe even do some live brainstorming on expanding the /slow_web page accordingly?
#
[tantek]
(feels like a reasonable reframing for a healthier approach to consuming content as compared to infinite scroll or doom scroll)
#
[chrisaldrich]
I'm waiting to see how the evening shakes out. Our usual Wednesday night schedule shifted so I may be able to join HWC tonight.

gRegor looks like your RSVP https://gregorlove.com/2022/01/im-attending-homebrew-website-club/ is missing u-in-reply-to, so it got interpreted as a mention

Ah, oops
#
gRegor
That did it. thanks!

oh interesting aaronpk looks like a meetable feature request, when a webmention changes type, it adds the new one but doesn't remove the old one. https://events.indieweb.org/2022/01/homebrew-website-club-pacific-7N5iRHCxRt7K
#
[snarfed]
or s/feature request/bug/
#
gRegor
I think that may be intentional? I think I've seen previous RSVPs that I did right the first time show up in both places.
#
[snarfed]
oh true, good point
#
aaronpk
I think it intentionally shows posts in multiple places depending on what it is
#
[snarfed]
#
aaronpk
In other words, it doesn't treat a post as only showing up in one place. It shows it wherever it makes sense depending on what's in the post
#
gRegor
yeah if I didn't use e-content it would probably just show the RSVP

"Web3" is riddled with bad faith, propaganda, and grift - But I've been mapping blockchains as Merkle Trees and I can't help noticing the resemblance to clandestine operational cells.  I'm also spending more time looking into IndieWeb, text/gemini, Gopher, Tor, and ZeroNet.

Liked https://mxb.dev/blog/make-free-stuff/ (http://mxb.dev) Despite what web3 claims, it’s possible to “own” your content without a proof of it on the blockchain (see: IndieWeb). It’s also possible to create things just for the sake of putting them out into the world.
