↩️ I mean, I'm already ON Mastodon. There are other things on the Fediverse besides Mastodon, though, and then I've also heard good things about the IndieWeb, though I haven't looked into it yet. I understand IndieWeb is an alternative to Fediverse.

↩️ If there was a halfway decent Indieweb option at this point I'd be happy to replace Twitter with that. Least worst one so far appears to be Known, but that's very primitive. The other alternatives are various Wordpress plugins (yuck!), a couple of paid services, and some scripts

They link to the second link inside the first link. Though it is a link blog, so might be better to link where it is linking too rather than to the blog itself.

[jeremycherfas] I would not by any measure consider Known to be "primitive", either in terms of feature set or UI, so yeah that's a bit of a strange critique. Perhaps they are complaining about the setup / updating?
#
[tantek]
or admintax?
#
[tantek]
the wording of that tweet sounds very "entitled to something free & convenient from OSS and not wanting to pay anybody for anything like a service"
#
[tantek]
wow that's a lot of events/hwc-* new pages in the newsletter, so much so that it kinda looks like noise
#
[tantek]
I realize this may only happen a few times but I wonder if it's possible to cluster sets of similar new pages, even if we hard code it to cluster only sets of "events/" new pages
#
[tantek]

PDT/PST difference making both 2 and 3 pm be possible times for Loqi?
#

That's what I was thinking. Looks like this year at least it's been consistently 3pm. https://chat.indieweb.org/meta/2022-02-04 is before DST and also shows 3.
