[tantek]gatekeeping isn't a bad thing inherently, just as curation isn't. gatekeeping is bad when it's a sociopolitical. it's good when it's based on actual relevant experience, expertise, and proof of work
[tantek]being an expert at storing your stuff in someone else's garage doesn't make folks experts on creating garages. they might have opinions as users sure, but user is not the same as a platform/UX creator. I'd make an exception for anyone who could show their HyperCard stacks ๐
