what is living standard
#
Loqi
It looks like we don't have a page for "living standard" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "living standard is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
gRegor
Re "Discuss formalizing the extension process inside the specification instead of outside" I'm not familiar with the process with living standards
#
[tantek]
gRegor, not many people are, even in the web standards world. It's very challenging to make living standards actually "work" in practice. It requires very experience editors that know that they're doing, and very experienced implementers that understand how to implement, contribute to, and keep up with living standards
#
[tantek]
for everyone else, a more staged/waterfall process of standards development, like how both IETF and W3C typically work, is an "easier" Process to both understand and follow
#
gRegor
It sounds like if that's a topic for the popup, need to sort out some pre-reqs. otherwise it might not be very productive.
#
[tantek]
aaronpk has done both IETF and W3C staged processes
