[schmarty]hmm. wondering if anyone has thoughts on whether and how we should archive the projects at https://glitch.com/@indieweb before glitch project hosting goes away in about a month.
[schmarty]that would work to preserve static sites, as long as all their content is publicly reachable. some of these have a server-side component, so might be better preserved by downloading and re-hosting.
[schmarty]these projects were also put on glitch by members of the indieweb community who have since drifted away, so it's not clear the extent to which they would even want them archived.
[tantek]Presumably if they were openly licensed for forking & remixing there's an implicit (or even explicit) expectation that it's fine that others fork and rehost
[schmarty]repos definitely possible. gists an interesting idea. first step is probably to review these ~dozen projects to see if anything is in active use to prioritize that. for the rest, decide at what level each needs to be archived and/or made available.
