I want to do more brainstorming, but that seems like a decent place for capturing tentative recommendations
#
[aciccarello]
The projects page is a mess and I'd like to review if it makes sense to split JS projects between the language page and Node.js.
#
[aciccarello]
But I think the list on the open source page is a better place to link to than the see also section of the projects page.

aciccarello agreed the /projects page is a mess and over the years I've tried to make incremental progress on it (see the section lower down about cleaning it up)
#
[tantek]
At this point I’m very tempted to just be ruthless about dropping any projects that don't have any *active* community members actively using them
#
[tantek]
A well curated list of projects that folks can ask about in chat is much more valuable that any kind of completist attempt. There are several GitHub repos that try to be big directories of projects so no need for us to also do so
#
[tantek]
Should we start deleting all [edit] notices from Discord when they show up in Slack or the IRC archives? They only add noise AFAIK (Discord edits to add link previews and no text content changes are useless on other clients)

> Is this being maintained? Yes. But I want to merge all this functionality into the much superior matterbridge by 42wim (https://github.com/42wim/matterbridge)
#
[tantek]
I'll ask differently. Does anyone object to deleting the [edit] messages from the Discord bridge that are either long out of date or do not alter the text content at all?
#
gRegor
No objection, just a tedious task
#
[artlung]2
I have that script in the repo that can be altered to include a regex that could help

I really wish Discord just had a setting to turn off edits. It's surprising with all their granular permissions that they don't.
