@jgmac1106
OMG I just downloaded all of my @medium post to recreate some of my publications on my site and thought I would have to go through and add microformats....but @medium already has native mf2 support. Awesome! My work is done. (https://quickthoughts.jgregorymcverry.com/s/1pZ4NP)

should http://microformats.org/wiki/Main_Page have a ToC header that links to parsers?
#
Loqi
Welcome to the microformats wiki!
#
[jgmac1106]
I search "parsers" and then it says "a list of parsers are available on tools" and I click there
#
[tantek]
aaronpk that's a good suggestion
#
[tantek]
I'm wondering if we should include a list of parsers right on the home page, as part of the work to rethink and update the home page

aaronpk feel free to add to: http://microformats.org/wiki/admin-to-do#home_page accordingly!
#
[tantek]
aaronpk also re: issue 2 - do we actually have test cases? I feel this one in particular is a big enough breaking change for existing cases that we absolutely need tests cases to make sure we have interop
#
aaronpk
yeah this is a huge change, any code that uses the parser will need to be updated
#
[tantek]
do parsers do this behind a flag right now?
#
aaronpk
i think it's only in the python one?
#
[tantek]
oh interesting
#
KartikPrabhu
of course those are simplified made-up markup
#
KartikPrabhu
though I suspect bridgy has run into actual use cases
#
[tantek]
those are quite good and will definitely show differences between parsers
#
[tantek]
KartikPrabhu where is the JSON expected result?
#
[tantek]
I'd like to point to test case plus expected result in my mf2 spec update post (and edit comment on the spec) so parser developers know to specifically test for it properly
#
[tantek]
KartikPrabhu can you link to that test case and the expected JSON output directly from the issue? https://github.com/microformats/microformats2-parsing/issues/2
#
Loqi
[aaronpk] #2 image alt text is lost during parsing
#
KartikPrabhu
[tantek]: unfortunately we never got to factoring the mf2py test suite to have JSON expected results so unfortunately they are all in python code https://github.com/microformats/mf2py/blob/master/test/test_parser.py#L817
#
[tantek]
that'll do for now. since it's an "L" fragment link (which are often fragile), in addition to linking it, copy/paste the list of assertions directly into your issue 2 comment
#
sknebel
(and yes, it's behind a flag in mf2py, since it's a "really" breaking change in output)
#
Loqi
[kartikprabhu] test in mf2py for img parsing with alt: test examples: https://github.com/microformats/mf2py/blob/master/test/examples/experimental/img_with_alt.html expected results: below in python code form from mf2py ``` # simple img with u-* ...

[kevinmarks]
this feels like a case where having parser-independent tests would really help
